Floor Fix Presents Tenax Epoxy

The solution to the squeaks and movement of an old squeaky floor.
Tenax is a name widely regarded as one of the best in the epoxy and adhesive industry. The product used in this system soaks into the wood while being applied, much like a sealer, and when it hardens it acts as a filler and solidifies hard as a rock! When applied to a sturdy floor with squeaks this epoxy will ELIMINATE all noises and basically fuse the subfloor to the floor joists. Thank you very much for your interest in this product, I know you will be thrilled with your results.
It is very important to realize that squeaks are caused by movement, for best results this product should always be used on floor joists that are structurally sound. If a joist moves independently of the others next to it up and down, boards screwed in between the joists should be installed to reinforce the area prior to epoxy application. The epoxy is applied to the floor joist and subfloor using plastic spreaders with the desired end result looking much like a bead of caulking. You must epoxy both sides of the joist for best results, this has been tested.

Instructions for a small area spot fix:

setup adequate ventilation and put on safety accessories and devices

set out 2 pieces of cardboard one for each side of the joist with approximately 1 1/2 cups of epoxy from can, each one is a batch, each should cover about 3-4 feet of one side of the joist

add 3% hardener to 1 batch as per can instructions, mix quickly and thoroughly with plastic spreader until white streaks of hardener are blended in,  then reform epoxy into a pile and clean off the spreader, mixing ratio does have a range, too much will set up very quickly, too little will take a longer time, if it sets at all, FOR 1.5 CUPS OF EPOXY, 1/2 TO A FULL LEVEL TEASPOON IS ADEQUATE, PICTURES COMING SOON!

load spreader with epoxy only taking about 1/4 inch of pile at a time (too much will just fall off) and apply to target area along top of joist

use spreader to fill any gaps being sure to push in as much epoxy as possible run spreader along the area to leave a 1/4 inch triangular bead of epoxy where joist meets floor and any noisy cross braces in joists

Guess what, YOU'RE DONE! Epoxy gels in 4-8 minutes (depending on temperature and mixture) and will be ROCK solid within 45 minutes, suggested time till put in use is 2 hours minimum

Enjoy your new floor!
